The UK’s independent nuclear regulators (the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales) work together to ensure that any new nuclear power stations built in the UK meet high standards of safety, security, safeguards environmental protection and waste management, through a process called Generic Design Assessment (GDA).
As part of its commitment to openness and transparency, Rolls-Royce SMR welcomes comments and queries about the regulatory assessment of the Rolls-Royce SMR design. This website has been set up to share information and collect your feedback, which will be considered as part of the GDA process.
